Despite its small size, it provides fully digital synthesis of the RDS signal and offers two operating modes - Loopthrough & Side-chain. To simplify the process of getting RDS on-air, the SmartGen Micro encoder comes with a straightforward and user-friendly Windows® interface included on the CD-ROM. This interface allows anyone to set static IDs and flags, program default entries into dynamic messaging fields, and adjust other operating parameters that affect the display of data on the radio.
